Paul Morley - Nothing Book Review - Nothing by Paul Morley

Challenging, difficult, deep, at times almost unbearable to read. The first twenty or so pages were a real struggle for me. But perserverance is often rewarded. Morley's idiosyncratic, punk-influenced writing provides a jagged style shot through with humour. Basically the story of Morley's life, imbued with his father's suicide and the long journey of acceptance of Paul and his mother and sisters.

PicText Film review - Nil By Mouth

Gary Oldman's first script is a searing commentary on a dysfunctional family. Ray Winstone and Kathy Burke are not playing for laughs in this heavy film
