Book Review - Nothing by Paul MorleyChallenging, difficult, deep, at times almost unbearable to read. The first twenty or so pages were a real struggle for me. But perserverance is often rewarded. Morley's idiosyncratic, punk-influenced writing provides a jagged style shot through with humour. Basically the story of Morley's life, imbued with his father's suicide and the long journey of acceptance of Paul and his mother and sisters.

Film review - Nil By MouthGary Oldman's first script is a searing commentary on a dysfunctional family. Ray Winstone and Kathy Burke are not playing for laughs in this heavy film
